Was anyone lucky enough to get caught in the act by a traffic cam? Tell me your experience.?

The experience is much the same for most people, you get a ticket and pay a fine.

In some cities in Canada (including the city where I live) they use them to nab drivers who run red lights, which is great, until your friend runs a red light in *your* car. Luckily when they send you the ticket in the mail they include a few pictures: one of most of the car, then a zoomed-in one of the license plate (which is how they get your address to send you the ticket). So I was able to tell it was my friend in the car, and had her pay it!

I was out running errands on Memorial Day weekend with the top down and cruising .... a few weeks later my husband questioned what we did that weekend ... refreshing my memory I repeated back the details of the weekend .... he smiled and said you forgot one small detail and produced the ticket with the pictures of my tag and the back end of my car with my blond head in the drivers seat running a red light (oops!)

It was a new camera that was installed. I made a legal turn , yet at 5:00 am the flash from this thing  next to scared the tar out of me. I later called the police to question why it went off while I was making a legal turn. They kindly said we are only testing them for now but in one month they will be working correctly.
