  1. If you had hit him you wouldn't have had a leg to stand on mate!  You should drive a reasonable distance behind at all times - even if the person slams his brakes on suddenly.

  2. As stated above the Jaguar needs to explain just why he stopped so quickly and then the police will determine would will be a fault, remember that when you hit someone in the rear if that is what happened, you are not always at fault, good luck.

  3. sorry i missed it i was in belfast @ the time

did u crash into the back of him? if so then u would have been at fault for not keeping a safe stopping distance between your car & his :)

  4. Sorry, but when I was learning to drive I was told to keep at least four seconds between myself and the car in front when in a built up area to avoid this.

  5. Well I wasn't there but in my opinion, the person behind needs to account for sudden breaking and be far enough behind so that they don't have an accident.  I hate people who tailgate.  Yes, breaking suddenly isn't helpful to anyone behind but sometimes things happen that make it necessary (kid runs out etc) and the person behind needs to have enough space to break before hitting them.

  6. I was there, but I missed this. I would have been at the lower ped crossing heading for the Flagship Centre. Such happens all the time on High Street and Lower Main Street no-one turns a head anymore.

  7. Dude, I don't think you are going to find people on here that were there, it such a small place...
