  1. Yes, he was.

  2. Like ED said, he was impeached by the house of reps, but NOT the senate, so it didn't really count as a true impeachment.

  3. Yes.

Many people are confused on this, because they are ignorant.  They think that being impeached means being removed from office.  This is incorrect.  "Impeachment" is simply the formal filing of charges.  This is done by the House, as prescribed by the Constitution.  This is followed by a trial in the Senate.  If the Senate convicts, the person is removed from office.

Bill Clinton was impeached for perjury.  He lied under oath during a deposition in the Paula Jones civil suit.  Monica Lewinsky was involved only because Clinton's conduct with her was part of the testimony in question.  Bill Clinton was NOT impeached for his conduct with Lewinsky, though he should have been.

Although the House impeached him, the Senate did NOT convict, so Bill Clinton remained in office, to the everlasting shame of our country.

Clinton was later disbarred because of his perjury.

  4. YES!

  5. The word "Impeached" doesn't simply mean to be thrown out of office. It means that someone who holds an office is tried for something they allegedly did wrong.

  6. No.  Only Nixon was impeached.  Well maybe I am wrong.  Update:  Actually clinton was impeached and won his case.  Nixon resigned before he could be impeached.  So, sorry I was wrong, should have looked it up before I answered.

  7. YES
