  1. Yes.  A great move.  We've got a great Republican ticket, even the Democrats know it.  They just hope Americans don't find out.  The media is trying to help them by continuing to give the Democrats lopsided coverage.  However, there's a convention coming up.  :)

  2. McCain picked a beauty pageant bimbo with no foreign policy experience.  She is one of the most extreme right wing nuts around. She doesnt believe in Evolution or Global Warming.  She wants to criminalize abortion even in cases of rape and incest.  The woman is downright scary.  McCain just lost the election.

  3. I think it was a good move for McCain considering his choices. I don't think it will affect the election much if at all. People vote for top of the ticket.

  4. It forces the general public to make a historic choice: either a woman, or a black man.  It certainly makes the election interesting, but I believe the GOP was looking to do one thing: divide the democrats.  That's how they will win the election, and by picking a semi-charismatic soccer-mom, you may steal alot of hillary votes.  I think this will either be one of the most brilliant political strategies in history, or the kiss of death for mccain.

  5. Yes.  I think Palin kills Obama's domestic policy.  Here is a family with a middle middle class income with five children (one going to Iraq and one with Down Syndrome) and that family has none of the troubles that Obama claims Americans have.  The Palin family is defiantly a conservative role model.

I think the Republicans viewing the Democrats as a bunch of whiners will at least be proved to the moderates.

  6. She is a very successful woman that has done remarkable things with Alaska.Plus she is a very good true Christian. Now we will gain not just Hillary supporters,But we will get our conservatives looking our way now.

I would be very proud to have her serve as VP.

  7. I'm an Obama supporter.  But McCain's pick of Sarah Palin will DEFINITELY have me paying more attention to McCain now.  Why?  Hoping for more moments like the one today--

McCain stood uncomfortably right behind his VP nominee while she gave her little acceptance speech.  I raised my eyebrows when I saw his eyes shifting up and down her back.  And I laughed with glee when I saw him start compulsively fingering his wedding band.  You can see the thoughts flashing across his face:  "I'm a married man, I'm a married man, I'm a married man..."

I will certainly pay more attention now, hoping for more such displays of shallow old-man attraction to youth.

  8. Palin?  Puh - leese!

    The old man is done.

  9. The choice is a Hail Mary pass.  Sometimes they win games, usually not.  They are always an act of desperation.

  10. pro choice

    pro gun

    pro police state

    pro war

she is everything McCain is. 2 peas in a pod.

she is also under investigation for trying to lose her former b-i-l's state police job cause he divorced her sister

  11. It was an excellent choice for McCain. He energized the entire base with this choice. And Obama is already backing himself into a corner by claiming she has no experience when she has more than he does.

The choice effectively neutered Bidens attack dog nature in the debates because now he will be too afraid of looking like he is mistreating a woman. Plus it might appeal to some of the Clinton voters who arent happy with Obama.

  12. If nothing else, it'll force Obama to put up or shut up with his whole "change" thing.
