  1. Very Normal...;-)

  2. I can see my dogs doing it all the time!

It's a communication of stimulation, to express a desire...

  3. Hard to say, as no one was writing down s*x manuals back then.  However, one of our closest cousins, the bonobos, engage in oral s*x.  They also engage in almost every other kind of s*x there is, thus proving that us humans aren't as creative as we thought we were.  You could make a decent argument that oral s*x probably has been with us since the very beginning.  It's by no means an airtight argument, but there's a good case there.

I'm kind of surprised that you picked only cunnilingus, rather than oral s*x as a whole.  Are penises cleaner than the v***a?  Penises can be awfully grody as well, as anyone who's dated the more hygienically cavalier can attest.  Besides, Purell is a fairly recent invention, as is toilet paper.  Making your kids food right after you've used the facilities seems quite a bit less hygienic than kissing them a third of a day after you and your SO had some fun alone time.

  4. It's not common in nonhuman primates, even among bonobos, which is interesting for two reasons- 1)  They are a species of chimp, and therefore our closest living relatives in the animal kingdom, and 2) they are extemely sexual creatures and routinely engage in a wide variety of sexual acts.

The word "normal" is a loaded term.  Normal according to what standards?  It seems to be  found in many societies but with varying degrees of frequency.  It is considered normal, healthy sexual behavior by the western scientific establishment despite the fact that many cultures and individuals would not regard it favorably.

This question is rather like asking, is it normal to eat pork?

  5. Far as I know we are still Homo sapiens. l*****g of genitalia is pretty common in non-human animals in heat so it seems likely that our hominid ancestors were no different.
