  1. I'm sure she was at first but when she realized that he never loved her, she undoubtedly then sought the comfort of other men. Unlike many people, I don't see either Charles or Diana as villains. They were two people who were totally wrong for each other. Diana was essentially married off to an older man who was under a great deal of pressure to get married and produce an heir. She was chosen because she was young, a virgin, and had the right pedigree. What a sad way to conduct a marriage.

  2. Diana was faithful to Charles in the beginning and for a while after the beginning until she realized that Camilla was more than a friend and that Charles would never stop seeing her. She openly admitted to having an affair with James Hewitt while married to Charles, but that was after their marriage had broken down. I still believe though that at the end of Diana's life that she still loved Charles and that she never stopped loving him. She may not have loved him as she once did, but I feel almost certain that he remained the love of her life. I think she desperately wanted the marriage to work and did everything in her power to make it work.

  3. In the late 1980s, the marriage of Diana and Charles fell apart. Both the Prince and Princess of Wales allegedly spoke to the press through friends, each blaming the other for the marriage's demise. Charles resumed his old, pre-marital affair with Camilla Parker Bowles, while Diana had an affair with her riding instructor, James Hewitt. She later confirmed the affair with Hewitt in a television interview with Martin Bashir for the BBC programme Panorama. Charles had confirmed his own affair over a year earlier in a televised interview with Jonathan Dimbleby. Although no charges were ever considered, adultery with the Queen consort or Princess of Wales has been high treason for both parties in England at least since the Treason Act 1351.

Diana was also alleged to have had a relationship with James Gilbey, her telephone partner in the so-called Squidgygate affair. Another supposed lover was her detective/bodyguard Barry Mannakee, who was assigned to the Princess's security detail, although the Princess adamantly denied a sexual relationship with him. After her separation from Prince Charles, she was said to have become involved with the married art dealer Oliver Hoare, to whom she admitted making numerous telephone calls, and with the rugby player Will Carling. Other men rumoured to have been her lovers, both before and after her divorce, included the property developer Christopher Whalley, the banker Philip Waterhouse, King Juan Carlos I of Spain, the singer Bryan Adams, and John F. Kennedy, Jr.. There is little evidence to support the idea that her relationships with these men were anything more than friendships.

  4. Yeah she was..............Charles Who ?

  5. No.  She admitted to having had an extramarital affair with her riding instructor, James Hewitt, starting around 1985.  There were a couple other men about whom there is speculation of affairs, but none that she ever publicly admitted.

  6. It has been shown that after the birth of Harry, both Charles and Diana were involved with other people.Charles had been the first to stray;he had no intentions to give Camilla up,ever.Diana, who had remained faithful and hopeful that her marriage would work out, finally gave up after the birth of Harry. She said that Charles was hoping for a girl, and was somewhat disappointed that a red-haired boy was born.Charles made a remark about the baby's "even having ginger hair," a Spencer family trait and was quite dismissive of the birth. Diana said "something died" inside of her when Charles acted that way.Her affairs with James Hewitt and James Gilbey are well-known.There were others as well, most notably Oliver Hoare and Hasnet Khan.Diana was loking for a family-oriented man who was well-off to have the means to give her a private life away from the paparazzi,I think.Unfortunately,it did not happen for her.

  13. Yes. But old Charley wasn't. It's sad he chooses Camilla over her. Yuck!

  14. For most of her marriage, yes. But towards the end, by her own admission, she was not. But then, Charles had been unfaithful all along. .As she said,"there were three people in our marriage and it got a little crowded' - the third person,of course, being Camilla.

  15. No. Both she and Charles cheated on one another.
