I am in ninth grade and I went to highschool for three weeks and then I started doing homeschooling, during the day I babysit my sister and while she sleeps I read a section of my computer or math book, and I try to do more on the weekends, I was taken out of school because of many reasons such as 1. outdated american education system as said by the CEO of cisco 2. kids talking about bad stuff at school and my parents worried that I might learn them(kids smoking cigarretes at my bus stop and kids acting like gangsters) the cigarrete smoke was putting a negitave effect on my health and by gangsters I mean kids wearing really loose pants and a long shirt that they always hold up while walking. and me wasting time in switching classes and teachers becoming grouchy because of the behaviour of the gangster like kids and not teaching well. So my parents took me out of school and ordered books from india and I just do the problems and check my answers

  1. god highschool is so cool!!

    your missing out hunn

  2. Yeah sometimes home schooling sounds like the best thing. I mean you work at your own pace and you could get done with school faster or it could take longer if you get lazy.  You don't have to worry about a teacher lecturing you.  But now that I am out of school I realized how much I missed its not the classes necessarily but the time I spent with my friends between classes or in after school activities or at lunch.  I miss lunch the most because we could goof off

  3. I'm in home school as well (7th grade). I think that you do receive a better education in home school, however you don't really grow up as much as you would in a public school. Take me as an example I was a very introverted child since I was home schooled in 1st grade and 4th grade and I hardly ever hung out with anyone my age. So when I entered public school in 5th grade I would get extremely frustrated with myself because I didn't know how to react with other kids and I didn't know how to stick up for myself (thank goodness I had the best friends to help me). So basically I was just a plain Jane that was a pushover. But as I stayed in the home school I grew stronger as a person and yes I learned things that I shouldn't have learned but it's life you can't do anything but enjoy the ride and make it last while you can. Trust me your never ever going to have the same experience in public school than homeschooling. Plus when you go to college your on your own and all that finding yourself stuff that should have happened over the years in high school will help.

  4. It seems like NO ONE can read (must be because they were all educated in American Public Schools) or they think smoking is cool and eveyrone should do it and it's great.

Yes you need to be around cigarette smoking peers

You need to get yourself baggy pants you trip in and that fall off you.

See hanging around baggy pants, cigarette smoking Gangstas WILL MAKE YOU MORE SOCIAL

So will disrupting classes with your gangsta antics!

  5. I think that homeschooling has had a negative effect on me. I was taken out after 3rd grade and now i'm in 9th. When i was in 6th grade i started in band at public school which helped a little, but i'm still very introverted and have a hard time with other kids my age because i had to mature so fast and have the responsibiltiy of getting all my work done and figuring out what classes I need since i don't have a guidance counselor and have to get the classes myself.

  6. I am a Senior in Home School. I was in High School until the beginning of my junior year. I am so happy that I switched to home school. I will also tell you that while you don't get some of the same experiences it is much better for you. Our society is very harsh and while we need those experiences. Sometimes its best to take ourselves out of those troublesome situations. A lot of home schoolers get to go to college early and do way better than public school kids.  I think you will definitely not regret being home schooled. Hope I helped!

  7. Homeschooling can be a good choice for some people and bad for others so you have to make your own decision if it works for you or not. I have some experience in homeschooling and sometimes its best to lay out a lesson plan each week to show you what you need to get done each day. There are usually some home-school groups that you can work with and meet fellow homeschoolers like yourself. Its best to join a few of these so you can continue to develop your social skills. You probably made a good decision to get out of the bad situation in school. Good luck!

  8. I think being in school around your peers would be the best decision. You don't want to fall behind socially or education wise. Good Luck!

  9. IMHO I believe that you will receive a better education through home schooling.

  10. NO
