He does a good job of explaining how that term and the man came about.   He explains the hype around the man and how rumors spread of his style of combat and gave him the reputation, etc.

no, dracula what just a character, and it is said some of his traits where based off of this lady who bathed in the blood of young girls to stay young [and there is sence in her method of bathing]

she killed over 600 girls, she is one of the first vampires to be convicted and such.

Nope, vamps of myth and legend have existed since the good old days of...  well caves and fire.  lol  They most probably evolved along side the myth of the old woman who steals men's vitality.  It is rather amusing that the link between a lost "Vital" part of a man and blood loss were linked so early on.  :p

no, dracula was a bram stoker book, the real dracula was no vampire, vampirism in folklore is very old. tales about night stalkers that fed on human blood appear in nearly every culture around the world.

No.  Legends of vampiric creatures date farther back in history than the time of Vlad the Impaler and exist in many cultures outside Central and Eastern Europe.

Many early vampire legends are actually personifications of disease; some of these legends do arise in Europe during the time of the Black Death.

Vampires, in various forms, have been traced back to nearly the base of humanity. The idea is rooted deep in the human brain, and has manifested itself. Even the Native Americans, who had nearly no contact with any other eastern cultures, had their own version of the vampire. It's a very common occurance. Hope that helped.

it is not the first vampire...the rumors of the vampires started with the discovery of an illness,the porphiria (cant recall the name in english),an illness that makes the teeth blood,and makes skin sensible to the sunlight and so the eyes get red because of the sunlight too...
