  1. No, especially since there wouldnt have even been a game 6 if he didnt stand on his head in game 5.

  2. I am a goalie mom for 10 years now and a lot of goalies will fall back to cover up the puck,

BUT didn't you noticed how it took a weird snap/bounce off his back or was it his pants (forgot) THEN went in the net.

I would have to say 99% of the time the puck would have laid there and Fluery would have just covered it up with his body, but it took a weird snap/bounce.

    Fluke! Bad luck

  3. Being a goalie myself, I was upset with his inconsistency in the game, he made some nice saves but all goals against him were somewhat stoppable so do I blame him? +/-

  4. NO

  5. Of course not! He scored the game winning goal!

It was a fluke goal, he shouldn't have fallen back, but he doesn't take all the blame.

  6. No, he didn't know where the puck was and accidentally pushed it back. He kept them in the game/series by making many saves.

  7. no. He had no control over it. He and well everybody else didn't have a clue where the puck was. Plus we could have scored more goals or prevented them. It was a stupid mistake that he is probably kicking himself for.

  8. Sorry, but, What a terrible question.

It's a team. If defense let the puck get to Fleury, they obviously didn't do everything they could.

They play as a team, so not one single person can be blamed.

    GO PENS GO

  9. You bring this up now.  Look truth is the Penguins didn't play well the first two games.  If the Penguins had who knows who would have won.  Detroit was a better team this past finals.  Ok Habs-fan I agree that Fleury had some bad moments but if he had the defensive system and a player like Lidstrom in particular protecting him, Fleury's numbers would be even better.  Osgood played well don't get me wrong but his save percentage was worse, his win total was the same and they had the same amount of shutouts.  Oh and Fleury had to face 180 more shots than Osgood.  Tell me how good osgood's numbers would be if he faced 180 more shots.

  10. it was a big shame taht he sat on the puck, although it would not have gone in..

but i wouldnt say that it was COMPLETELY his fault, although that accident made them lose.

he played very well throughout the entire playoffs though

  11. yea it was

  12. no he accidentally pushed it in.

  13. i am a goalie, so no it wasnt fleurys fault. the shot had to get through five other players to get to him

  14. You Can Never Blame A Goalie For a Team's Loss

You Just Have To Fault the Whole Team. They need to be great all together cause if 1 or 2 make a mistake, its the whole team who has to suffer.

Fleury didn't do anything wrong. He just fell.

  15. nope not at all.

  16. it is never just the goalie fault

    so no

the pen's just did extremly bad and in my oppinion Fleury keep his team in it.

  17. -If the defense was not letting the Red Wings in the zone, it wouldn't have happened would it?

-Why wasn't someone behind Fleury to make sure nothing would scrap in? Teams do after a goal barely goes in, they slide the puck out hoping nobody saw it, but they can't do it when the game is huge in the eyes of NHL & fans?

  18. no, it was a team fault. but don't you think its a little late to be asking this?
