As much as i like George Clooney...

yes he kinda was

He was just himself really... which worked for Bruce Wayne, smooth, suave...

but not really for Batman...

However, this could be a directorial thing, and not George at all. that's something we wont really know.

Best Batman's are Michael Keaton and Christian Bale for sure!

I don't think it was his fault he was so bad. everyone in that movie was horrible and their was some great actors in that movie. It's a perfect example of what a bad script and a director with his head up his *** can do to a movie. The actors are lucky any of them are still working after that garbage.

YES!!  He was terrible.  Now, I will agree that whole movie was lousy.  And I don't particularly like George Clooney.

For the longest time, I swore that no one would ever be as good as Michael Keaton, and then Christian Bale came along and blew me away.

Val Kilmer was also a terrible Batman, but with that face you couldn't really be too upset about it, he's a terrible actor, but he sure is pretty...LOL!

he was definitely the worst Batman, but to be fair to him i think the director was trying to make it a camper, more comical Batman, like Adam West's tv Batman. So you can't blame George Clooney for not being as good as say Micheal Keaton or Christian Bale

To be fair, the scripts and productions weren't great, and that didn't help his performance none.  But yes, it was entirely very, very terrible:

despite being attacked by batmaniacs .....i will say yes he was woeful ...love him in ER and many films but wasnt convinced of his wayne /bat .....personally though i loved the burton movies best as michael keaton was a kick *** actor and rocked as the man in the bat suit..........
