got a call that a major contract was in jeopardy from my bread and butter contractor. the contract is run by one of my competitor sub-contractors who hasn't been doing too hot there. i was called to assist. i told the contractor that i would go and work in an advisory role to the other sub. and that i would perform the work as long as he supplied the labor....as expected, after about 4 hours of work and training these guys, they began to wander off and take breaks alot...finally when the other sub showed up to check on the work, which was, by then, about 3/4 done(because of me) , i told him that i'd trained his guys in proper methods and even gave him a modicom of my supplies(just enough to finish), and told him good luck and left. i'm pretty sure i put them into field goal range but my company is not going to be anybody's boy. now on reflection, i wonder if i should have just sucked it up.

  1. THIS IS A FAKE QUESTION, LOOK AT THEY'RE OTHERR QUESTIONS THEY'RE ALL JOKES.

  2. In business, you do what you have to do to keep the customer happy.

I think you did the right thing, but I think you shouldn't work with that sub-contractor again - he's trouble looking for a place to happen.
