Was i wrong for sending his belongings to his mothers?

Question

my boyfriend continued to keep disrespectful hours and he failed to make family time. i understand by focusing on him being neglectful caused me to experience more of him being neglectful. he says he's@his mother's but i know better. i want my family restored and i feel like he wants me to ask him to come home. i don't see that happening since all my actions i took would be for nothing. he tells us to stand for something or fall for anything. if family is most important then act like it. he says whats the problem if i know where he is? i do know where he is but the problem is he'd rather be there than with us. the children are not my biological children but i love them just the same. so now he has taken them to his mothers. he knows i love and miss them but i love myself more and I'm not going to be unhappy just to have a man. he's waiting on me to break but I'm tuffer than he thinks! was i an extremist? if i ask him to come back nothing will change. if he ask to come back he knows he has to come to a compromise. pls help. thanks

I think you acted in a classy manner and you put your foot down and stood up for yourself.  Congratulations to you.  Most people out of spite would give away the stuff to the salvation army or throw it away.  You did the right thing.  You go girl!
