I don't get it? Why is everyone so disturbed when married couples work through something like this but applaud when McCain left his ill wife so high and dry that Ross Perot had to pay her medical bills?

Just wondering how people think. What is the logic?

  1. idk

  2. My husband was unfaithful to me (one night stand) 8 months into our marriage and divorce was never an option.  He was broken hearted and willing to do whatever it took to make things right.  We sought counseling and worked through it (we're still working through it) but I am happy to say that we are TOGETHER and happily married...we are also blessed to have a beautiful 4 month old daughter.  I love my husband and forgive him fully and I support any spouse that is willing to take the hard road to repair a hurting marriage.  If both parties are willing to put in the work than working it out is ALWAYS the answer.  I think it's ridiculous to ridicule any spouse that chooses to forgive and work it out.  It takes a strong spirit and alot of love to forgive a betrayal like adultery but it is so rewarding when you watch your marriage heal and evolve into a love you never knew was possible.  I think Mrs. Edwards should be applauded.

  3. It was the LYING and CHEATING and the BABY for edwards and WHY DID IT NOT COME OUT BEFORE NOW..the papers knew and waited til Hil got bumped.....HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  4. stupid...that why im not voting for him...

  5. All politicians are scum. I don't get it. It's very disappointing to hear how often these things happen. I don't think what McCain did was any better than what Edwards did, but as someone else corrected, he DID pay her medical bills.

  6. Just love all the political bashing that is going on in these questions these days.....I don't care who or what party they belong to cheating is wrong and once cheated on the trust is gone and rarely can be rebuilt...so that is why I always vote for the split.

  7. Our society as a whole doesn't seem to worry much with marriage and relationships when it comes to politicians.  Look how many cheat here on yahoo answers!

Frankly, I'm disappointed in both men, but there's a lot of information nobody knows, so the womens actions could be just as disappointing.

  8. I actually think it’s more like “Why do people care so much about what politicians do in their spare time?” I never understood why a politicians affair is anyone’s business. How does what a man feels for his wife or mistress have ANYTHING to do with whether or not he can he run the country?  Or whether or not we’re going to fight this war with missiles or grenades? I mean, what the h**l?

I’m sure even the great Presidents we’ve had, or Senators, have done their share of cheating but because America didn’t know, it wasn’t an issue.

I really despise the media sometimes. And no, I’m not a fan of McCain and not a fan of Edwards. So it’s not about a political party either!

  9. The issue is that Edwards was so reckless, even a democrat should be able to admit this.  This guy was so close to being VP, this news would have devastated the Obama campaign - this a-ho|e could have destroyed any chance of the democrats winning, you should hate him for this.

Edwards is psychotic, why would he run for president while sleeping with a bimbo while his wife has cancer?  Honestly - good luck if he can salvage his marriage.

McCain was an  a-ho|e too, but that was like 30 years ago, move on already!

  10. I don't know of a single person that "applaud" when McCain divorced do you?

Also McCain paid for  his ex wife's medical expenses after the divorce  Ross Perot paid them when McCain was a prisoner of war NOT after their divorce! ! !

As for Edwards I MYSELF applaud him staying and trying to work it out!

  11. I could care less about what McCain did 30 years ago. He was a POW for 5 years and Perot paid the bills while he was away. Maybe after spending 5 years in a hole realized he didn't want to be married to his wife anymore. Who knows.

As far as Edwards he cheated and it resulted in a baby. He even took his mistress on his campaign trail. That is just plain stupid.

Don't really care anyway. I'm not voting for Obama. McCain would have to do something horribly wrong before I switch parties and vote for a nutcase like Obama that has affiliations with known terrorists, racists and whatever else you want to say.
