Was it just an extremely vivid dream?

last night i had about 3-5 dreams and remembered all of them, but bits of each one. i always do. anyways, my second dream (im guessing) was that i saw the light...the light that people see when they're dying. i knew it was that because it was a dream and in my dreams i know whats going on. as i went in i felt a sudden scared feeling, like if i knew that i would die if i went in. so i got out fast. and then i woke up and felt scared and hard to breathe for that moment. what was it?

I think that's just one of those really intense dreams that you get.  When I get dreams sometimes I know I'm dreaming.  Which is normal, and if I dreamt i was falling, i twitch as if I did and I know it.  You're not going to die, remember it is a dream and if it continues to occur then maybe it's because something maybe bothering you and consciously that's what your dreams are trying to tell you.

I think it may mean that you fear death and god was giving a glimpse of how death really is to prove to you that their's nothing to fear. You were scared because you were denying it I guess.
