Was it made clear to Palin by McCain that real politics in the lower 48 is ruthless. She is crying foul about her family, but it won't make a difference. I gues this is what happens when you never expect to have more than 700,000 people judge you. Welcome to real politics in America Sarah, may the best person win.

She is employing the Cat-Woman defense.

There is this scene where Cat-Woman and Batman are fighting.  At some point he knocks her down.  To which she protests, how could you, I'm just a girl.  He relents and drops his card, whereupon she clocks him.  

Moral of the story, fight the battle on your own terms, and that is what she is doing.

This is a woman who goes moose hunting ...  and seems to hold her own quite well in the lower 48. I don't ever remember her crying foul for her family. It was OBAMA who said family was off limits.

This Hillary supporter is rather facinated by Palin. While I do not agree with all her platform, she has alot of fire, and seems to be able to hold her own just about anywhere.

At either rate, she is probably the end of Obama's chances at the presidency .... CBS news shows a dead heat - 42% each candidate, tonight.

I think Obama's bounce just ended ...

She is beautiful AND WOMEN: be honest with yourselves for a second and tell me your not just the tad bit envious or just under admiration of her; political savvy, down to earth attitude, intelligence and beauty

any woman out there knows that she is just amazing for being able to handle this emotional stress with her daughter and so forth.. she is so composed

Every candidate has said family is off limits.  Every president has had their family shielded from the media as a courtesy.

For some reason, the Democrats think they have the monopoly on women and do not like the fact that some are conservative and smart.

I say keep bringing it, because it is making the conservative base very angry, and there are more of them than Dem.'s  The Democrats only hope is that alot stay home.

You liberals didn't seem to have any problems crying foul when that magazine cover came out which portrayed Obama and his wife as terrorists or when comments were made about Michelle, so how does this situation with Palin differ?  Shouldn't you support her in her denouncement of her daughters unfair treatment at the hands of the bloggers and media outlets or do you think that only liberals or men should be treated fairly?  You bigotry and sexism is showing.  I wasn't going to vote, but you had better believe that I will be showing up on the day of the election to support Palin, because she is the best thing to happen in politics in a long time.

Sarah Palin is getting what WE deserve. It is McCain's duty to us voters to explain his case for including her on his ticket, and he has not done the job. Lacking that, it is the media's duty to US to give us a full measure of this woman's life.

So, by creating this vacuum, the media and bloggers and the world are stepping in to fill the void. The media will do the job the republicans were too lazy to do--they will find out who this woman is and what she has done that merits the old man's attention.

Sarah Palin is an aggressive small-time hardliner whose political ambition never in her wildest imagination extended beyond the borders of Alaska. She carries the bucket for the oil industry.

If Sarah Palin is voted to power, she will attack YOUR family, just as she has attacked Alaskan families.

As I watch tonight's Republican convention I've heard more about her Downs Syndrome child then I have all week on the lib. talk shows. The Republicans are the ones making a big deal out of it. Not the Democrats. We're doing as Our next President has asked of us and leaving her family alone. Her parenting skills and what she wants for the rest of our children is Open Game baby. I wish those people would pay attention.

Like most are saying, this is politics and your life and those who are around you are under a microscope.  

I personally think she is getting what she deserves because she is trying to shove her values and opinions down our throat instead of promoting the "freedom" to do what we want with our bodies.  She didn't exactly mention it in her speech but it is very clear where she stands and what actions she would take once in office.  

If you can't even get your own family and children to listen to you and stand by your beliefs and ideas (i.e. abstinence) how can I expect that you would be able to convince and lead an entire country?
