Was it my first period or my hymen breaking?

Question

I was masturbating this morning and when I looked at my finger there was blood on it... then it just kept coming out. When I went pee after I didn't feel any pain (like I expected to) and it didn't hurt when it happened at all. I couldn't feel anything, just see blood.

It only bled for about 30-60 minutes... i think. And I haven't gotten my period yet before in my life.

I didn't have any cramps or anything like that before or after it happened.

It sounds like your hymen broke because the bleeding didn't continue.

I would say it's your hymen breaking. I just got my period, and you would definetly notice it was your peroid, because it's going nonstop.

To the girl above me, you can still get sexual pleasure before your period.

thats a hard one i would say its your period but it doesnt only last for 30-60 seconds. so i am guessing its your hymen breaking wait it out till tomorrow if you see more blood its your period.

If you masturbated with penetration then it was probably your hymen breaking. The way to tell is if there's any more blood - if it continues for a few days, it'll be your period. If it was just for that hour, it was probably your hymen.
