Well well well, big Lance got the flick, or should I say a slimmed down L.W. was sacked.

The gravy train is over for him.

  1. I'd reckon publicity they just didn't need.  Wonder what his brother will say to him now ... I can guarantee one thing: It won't be subtle, clever and witty! :-)

  2. I would say his sacking had more to do with the fact that he has been underperforming year after year, turned up overweight year after year and has an injury that is degenerating and is probably going to get worse.

Honestly I don't see why everyone got behind him when he slimmed down a bit towards the end of the year and got on the 'lance is in top shape now' bandwagon.  This is how he should have been his entire career.

    About time he went....

  3. He is a massive underperformer and had to go for the Blues to properly rewbuild their team. Carlton are probably regretting not offering up for trade a couple of seasons ago when he had some currency. You never know, someone might still pick him up (please dont let it be North...)

  4. When it comes to the treatment of players at Carlton, nothing surprises me.

They probably wanted the money they were paying him, to make up Judd's payment!

  5. LOOK,I'M A MAD CARLTON SUPPORTER AND I KNOW LANCE HAS BEEN A LOYAL PLAYER FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS BUT HE HAS ALSO BEEN A LAZY TRAINER,STRUGGLED WITH HIS WEIGHT AND HAS A CHRONIC KNEE PROBLEM,AND AT THE END OF THE DAY ITS THE COACHES JOB TO MAKE DECISIONS THAT HE THINKS WILL BE BEST FOR THE TEAM AND I THINK RATTEN HAS MADE THE RIGHT DECISION IN THIS CASE.
