Georgia launched a surprise attack violating their OWN cease fire, a war crime. The Russians responded to their aggression. Now Georgia must pay a heavy price for their aggression.

attacking a huge country like russia before entering NATO is definitely a suicide. Georgia is not a suicidal country so i'm sure they didn't start the war

You know if a situation in North America occurred such as the Georgian one the U.S. would be criticized for stepping in. The land belongs to Georgia and what Russia did was wrong. That would be like when the South succeeded from the Union and the North invaded the South to retake what was ours if Britain would have stepped in to help the South stay independent.

From what I can gather from the news reports, there has been trouble between Georgia and one of its states. Russia had no business sending in troops. Putin wants the Soviet Union back, and he will stop at nothing to regain it. This is just part of his over all plan. He knows that the US has it's troops tied up elsewhere and that the European nations have no stomach for conflict.  He is taking advantage of the situation.

Russia didn't started it. Georgia and Ossetia choose the time of Olympic.

No, Russia is crossing a line here.  Georgia was defending their own territory in South Ossetia and the Russians just want to restore the Soviet Empire.

I hope we can force Russia to back down without starting a larger war, and I think this should be handled either by the UN or NATO.
