my cable box died, another was sent at my expense,i asked about upgrading at that time, it was $99, I declined.. there was no mention of another years service. about two weeks later to save money i bundled my phone internet and cable with att. direct tv told me i owed them early cancellation fees, i talked to many service rep's also wrote their corp. office, still havent heard from them.less than a week late direct tv had debited >$300. from my accout and emailed me stating it was cancellation fees.needless to say i'm very upset. i feel they should give me back my money as they never told me of aditional year service contract. I didn't sign any papers or didn't agree to added service.how fair is that? times are very hard i need my money, they are just angry i cancelled them. signed a very unsatisfied former customer, zynola word

  1. A standard free installation contract from Direct TV is for 1 year of service with an early cancellation fee.  How long had you had their service?   Call their customer service people and get an explanation.  As a rule Direct TV has a good reputation for customer service.
