so i am 2 mo. pregnant i am 17 years old and my boyfriend is 18. we have been together for 2 years. he hasn't told his family. over the weekend he went camping and i didn't go for obvious reasons. he left friday and came home today. he was suppose to come home sunday. he hasn't called me since sunday and has had many opportunities. i felt like it was time i tell his family so maybe he will shape up and quit acting like a fool. so today i called his grandma, [he lived there until friday, now he lives with his aunt and uncle] and i told her the situation. she took it very well and is very supportive. she told his aunt and uncle. they were supportive as well. my boyfriend told me not to tell anyone but i was just so mad at him and fed up with the way he was acting i felt like i had no choice!!!

he didn't want to tell his family pretty much ever.

was this a total ***** move? should i have let him tell them?

  1. Lets face it... He is a grown up now, according to the law at least.  He has the right to not tell his family things.  You don't want him to resent you now, especially since you are having his baby.  His family might be on your side now, but he might never be again because of this.  Talk to him, tell him your side of things, and then leave his family alone.  He has the right to tell or not tell whatever is going on.  I know if I were in that situation, and my mate told my parents something like that, I'd never speak to them again, regardless of the situation.

  2. A REAL man would tell his family. A REAL man wouldn't try to hide it from his family. He needs to grow up and be a daddy.

Anyways, it wasn't a ***** thing to do. They needed to know.

  3. It may not have been a very good idea. I don't think he will be very happy with you.
