Was jesus the original religious flim-flam man?

No however there were many other people who claimed to be the Messiah, since he is the true messiah they were all flim-flam men.  Even if you don't accept Jesus as being the true Messiah it would require an absence of historical knowledge to think that He was the original religious flim-flam man.  There have been plenty of men throughout history who claimed to be gods and many lived long before Jesus did.  Unless you think they were all gods you would have to admit that the first one to do this was the original flim-flam man.
