  1. Your asking the wrong people and even if we were the right people we wouldn't tell you.

What i do know is that the best fight of the night was the women's fight

  2. Not fixed but they found a way for him to win if you read the news people inside his own organization said he tapped out in the first

  3. no theres juss alot of people out there that cant do nuthing about sumthin or there pissed so they hate on them and make up rumors and lies da guy was about knocked out be4 they called it off bcuz the blood on  the ear it mighta been a awful stop though ......thats my opinion.on da fight...and he didnt tap either thats dumb 2 say dat i watched dat **** on youtube he didnt tap he was givin da ref thumbs up 2say hes ok...

  4. Imo yes.  EliteXC is on the ropes financially.  Network television is their last hope.  They are a disgrace to professional fighting competition.  They should have stopped the fight when Kimbo was on the ground and didn't defend himself for half the round.  They wanted that alien ear to bust for blood and ratings.  Their main draw can't lose in his debut.  Otherwise they do.  It's not Kimbo's fault he came up the way he did, but there are a lot of Don Kings in the world and he is being used to make money for the organizers and owners.  I wish him luck hopefully he can stake a legitimate claim in the MMA world.  THAT is not the way to do it.  Robbie Lawler and Scott Smith(?) did the sport true, but they are seasoned.  These guys do this for a living for YEARS not in backyards, but in the gym.  Disciplined.  That display on Saturday set the sport back horribly in the public's eye.  I love blood and liked the show, but saw it for what it was.  Commercialization.

  5. Yes.  The fight was clearly fixed.    The fight was also a loss for Kimbo.  He tapped.  Pure and simple.  WATCH THE VIDEO.   The man tapped during a guillotine choke at the end of round 1.   Since the fight wasn't stopped, it went to round 2.   During round two, Kimbo was unable to defend himself and was being pounded into the ground.  The fight should have, again, been stopped.  Nevertheless, the ref stands them up and takes away what would have been a victory for Thompson in another few seconds. Again, watch the video.   During round three, Kimbo hits Thompson's ear which was already swollen and cauliflowered before the fight even started.  This split the ear and out came some blood.  Here was the opportunity to save Kimbo and end the fight, so the ref "did his job" and ended the fight, giving Kimbo the victory EliteXC needed to give them the payoff.  Consider if Thompson had won - where would EliteXC have been then?   With no hype for Thompson (who has lost 5 of his last 7 fights) they'd have had a chump sitting on top of their already shaky pyramid.   If Kimbo ever fought a legitimate MMA fighter, he would be torn to pieces in less than a round.   Sadly, EliteXC now knows this.  It will be interesting to see their next move...  (Makes one even more thankful for fighters like Urijah Faber - probably the best pound for pound fighter in the entire world today.)

  6. It certainly seemed fixed....but I'm not sure.

The fight was stopped awfully quickly when Thompson's ear started bleeding. I don't believe the ringside doctor (if there was one) even got a chance to look at the injury before the stoppage, which is pretty weird.

Also, I think you could make the argument that the fight should have been stopped when Kimbo was getting pounded and not defending himself towards the end of the second round.

That being said, I have been a Kimbo Slice fan since the first time I saw him in one of his internet backyard fights and I will continue to watch him. Win or lose, hopefully his next fight isn't as controversial.

  7. No, not fixed. The matchup was handpicked for Kimbo to win. Some people might consider that a fix. I don't for the simple fact that Thompson was trying his best to win the fight. If Thompson had fallen from a phantom punch, or tapped to one of Kimbo's guillotine attempts without attempting to escape, that would have been taking a dive, which would have meant that the fix was in.
