1. a weak ground game.

2. suspect defense while standing (he took too many shots from a man who does not have great stnd-up skill)

3. poor conditioning

i am certain that we won't see kimbo fight for along time and when he does it will be another tomato can. he is not ready for even a b-level fighter.

  1. agree, completely

  2. Exposed?  He never said he was better than whatever level EVERYONE knew he was at which was amateur.

He can punch and take a punch, that's all.  He needs to fight fighters at his level not named cans.  Diverse fighters at his level and he may learn something.  Not everyone can have a perfect record.  If he knew any better he'd take fights in other orgs where he can lose and learn.

  3. Kimbo and the EXC was exposed as a joke

  4. Kimbo is a marketing plan for Elite XC.  He is a hero in south florida.  a guy comes from the ghetto, and rises to fame from Internet Obsession, to Prime Time National TV.  He MADE it!!!  Elite XC had bad discretion with the way the let the TV promote the fight like they did.  Bad job on the TV fault.

Kimbo, had some strong punches and did some damage with the haymaker, and there is one thing that no amount of training can give you,  and that is the Knock Out punch!  Kimbo Has That.  It will be years before he gets any respect in the Sport, but if he continues to fight experienced guys, and wins...he will learn, and might actually be a true contender one day.

  5. He admitted that he has a lot to learn.  He is a stand up puncher and not a ground guy.   He will fight again very soon. I say 6 months..

  6. I thin it really allowed a lot of people to see what alot of MMA fans already knew, that Kimbo really isn't that good. Don't get me wrong he has a great stort behind him but take almost any heavyweight or light heavyweight from the ufc and he would get stomped. he has no ground skills and almost no conditioning. Another problem is that he is already 34 so he doesn't have a whole lot of time to really develop into a well rounded fighter.

  7. Too many people compare him against fighters with alot more MMA experience. He is a fighter learning MMA, ofcourse his ground game wont be up to scratch with blokes who've been developing their ground game for years. His defence is still that of a street fight, he's learning, but it takes time, which is something no-one is prepared to give him. As for conditioning, someone who isnt used to it will be very tired out by a fight on the ground, and he's not used to it, go chuck him up against someone who's only been doing MMA for the same amount of time as him and they wont stand a chance, he has alot of catching up to do, let him do it.

  8. No he wasn't exposed. Everybody knows he isn't as great a fighter as he is made out to be.
