Was margarito given a doping test for steroids after beating Miguel Cotto?

Yes he probably got tested before the fight.  Nevada State Athletic Commission tests all the title fighters and some fighters from the undercard.  The results will take about three weeks.  

Margarito has an iron chin.

Yes, by the Nevada Boxing Commission they are required to take a doping test. Margarito showed super-human abilities why taking numerous blows to the head during the first six rounds. Call it Steroids rumors or great talent, the fact is that " if he is clean", he will keep the belt for a few years.

I am reading the posts in here and must say that I don't believe Margarito use steroids.  That is just plain gossip.  On the other hand the post that says that he was tested before and after the fight and passed is not completely accurate.  He was tested, but the results are not known to the public yet unless the one who posted in here works at the lab where they send the blood work.  LOL

I am a fan of boxing in general. I think that it is really sad that margarito had to take steroids to win a fight. Thats a shame. He will pretty much ruin his reputation with this. I liked Margaritos chances in this fight . However now i dont think it was a fair one.

yes margo got tested before & after the fight & passed...cotto fans jus cant face the truth,margo has a granite chin & cotto has a soft chin....notable fights where stimulants were obviously used were the argullo vs pryor fight & chavez vs randall 1....pryor & randall both declined to take drug test after the fight!
