Question:

Was messing with amp RA's and then all sound cut out in vehicle HELP pleaser?

i was noticed my subs where not firing so i remvoed the RA's from the amp and re inserted them and boom all audio cut out fro all speakers, all my indoors and everything, what should i do? i tried taking the battery connection off to give the cd player time to reset but no avail i unhooked the amp completly and still nothing please help.

  1. by RA's do you mean the RCA cables?

    i dont see why people are too lazy to turn their vehicle off while messin with that stuff. for some reason manuals always say to have the vehicle off and to disconnect the battery if you will be messing with power cables.

    there are several things that might had happend. the static might had been too much from disconnecting the RCA's and burned a internal fuse in the stereo.

    outside fuse of the stereo might be burned too, check that one as well.

    you will be able to know the internal fuse is blown once the stereo turns on too. this will create a loud pitch "buzzzzz" sound constantly non-stop while the vehicle is turned on.

    if the amplifiers them selfs do not turn on but the stereo does turn on, check amplifier fuses and amplifier fuse on the wire coming from the battery post.
