Question:

Was my Destiny Fulfilled?

It is a bit ironic, what happened tonight. I was reading a story, one which I had worked on for a year now, tentatively called "Destiny Fulfilled" (I was going to change the name later). And because I'm so tired and have AP exams, I fell asleep while reading it. My mom called to wake me up and I was in that state of half-awake, half-asleep. Must have pressed some crazy buttons in that state, because it all disappeared. When I clicked out of it, I had not realized that I had deleted my whole story...or I would have pressed "undo." But I hadn't, so I saved the changes, and now I am just opening my story and being greeted by a blank document. It surprises me now that I am fully awake.

Have you ever felt like you worked hard and had nothing to show for it in the end? If you have, please tell me about it so I don't feel so sad.

  1. thats really awful and must be feeling deflated.  Sorry to hear that after all the work you put into it.

Maybe there is some way it is still saved someone in the hard drive or something.

If not just try and start again or forget about it or drive yourself crazy thinking on it.

Don't know what else to say to you but try and stay positive or else will bring you down and focus on the good things you have in your life.

  2. no... that wasn't destiny...just an unfortunate accident.  you did not do the work with the expectation of losing it.  snap out of the funk and accept that sometimes stuff happens.  you're maybe feeling the pressure of school and all the other things you have to deal with...life's daily hassles.  get some rest, take your exams and later start writing your masterpiece again.
