I got 8/10 on this horrible attempt at a sonnet.

You were there

Though you were in my heart, left were you behind

Though you came to me with emotion and such glee

There was just one thing left I could not find

After all these years we are not set free

Drifting away as if setting with the sun

Those great moments lost in time we can’t tame

The times together we could just hath fun

Right now alone I begin to feel really lame

True friendship never fails, just fades away in days

How could all that time just be for nothing

Closer you got the further we drifted away

Seemingly like I had a concussion

For it was you that loved me, and I not

If I could go back, love I would hath wrought

  1. i think she was being kinda generous her genorsity becomes more dilute the lower the year you have been in school is.

  2. she dissed you because that was a slap to her religion as she is Roman Catholic . great jod i give you a b+

  3. i'm not sure if she graded you on content. but technically, you had a steady meter, and played with diff types of rhymes and of course had the couplet down... i think it's pretty decent. also, she probably had to wade through your classmate's pieces and that may have made her marking relative. =)

don't be so unsure of your own writing. let go.

  4. no that was great!
