I am a huge cohen brothers fan, but was that movie really that great? I thought the hudsucker proxy was better. no country was just too boring. I don't think it made for a entertaining visual story. thoughts?

  1. Oh I *loved* "No Country For Old Men".  It's one of my favorite movies.

Unfortunately, I haven't had the pleasure to see "Hudsucker Proxy".  I'll have to add that to my Netflix queue.

  2. entertaining visual story...yes

    watching it again...no

  3. I thought it was intriguing - sucked me right in. It was well-paced and finely filmed.

I suppose the overall feel doesn't stand up to multiple viewings...but I have seen it more than once (some time between viewings)...and I was still into it.

I thought it was a fresh deviation from the cinematic norm.

  4. I'm sorry, that movie was amazing!

Beyond the wonderful cast and chilling serial murderer with the oxygen tank, the interest level was paramount.  The characters were developed brilliantly, and how can you not love that last monologue from Tommy Lee Jones?!  You'd be crazy not to love this movie, and give it another chance-

  5. No, it was boring.

  6. Javier Bardem was extremely well casted, but I would call the movie more interesting than great. It seems like one of those movies where you need to watch it again, but you don't really want to.

    Hope that makes sense

  7. i thought it was good but i wouldn't see it again

  8. wow

it was filled with the unknown and great acting

    never found it boring

  9. I didn't care for it...

  10. I thought it was interesting, but the ending was just too depressing. Don't get me wrong, I like a sad or thought-provoking movie but not a movie that just leaves me feeling like c**p.

  11. it was a masterpiece, in my opinion.

i saw it three times in the movie theatre.

visually, it was beautiful beyond compare.

and i loved the ending. it wasn't your typical happy ending.

and javier bardem as antone chigur was freightening and funny at the same time.

    i love the cohen bros!
