All you people still carping on about this - I was screaming at the TV that it was not a try - the touch judge's flag should have gone up straight away. These are the rules, unfortunately for England fans it didn't go your way.

Read the link and realise it was a very good call from the TMO. This is from the global head of rugby referees.

  1. Thanks for that Grouch.  Obviously a bitter Scot lol

  2. It was not pretty but it was a good well contested game. There were no fights, no nastiness between players just good hard rugby. That "TRY", well it took a long time to reach the decision but on the last looks at the video it was apparent that the foot touched the line just before the ball was grounded. Tough luck but correct. Just think, not so many years ago, that was a 50/50 call by the referee and the touch judge. The eye could not take in all the detail at the speed it all happened. In that case there would always be one disappointed team. In this case there was no doubt that the correct decision was made. I enjoyed the game though I would have loved England to win but true say that the winner deserved the result. I wish I had been there or even in Paris after the game as I bet it was a great atmosphere with the two sets of fans drinking and enjoying some banter together. RUGBY IS SUCH A GREAT GAME.

  3. and... how many times do you need to post this question??

it's not like it matters whether it was a try or not now, the game is over ... and England still did us proud anyway!

  4. Check out the pics from the Sunday Times today. The guy was in touch. Unless of course the English newspaper doctored the photos.

    Stop whinging about it.

  5. It's a pity for England that he was not a little to his right - then his foot wouldnt've gone over. But it did... lesson learnt. He shouldn't have gone so close to the touch line in going for a try. Too dangerous.

So I'm not complaining - Danie Rousseau was right on to shove him to the left on the the tackle!

England played well. It was a hard game and it's a pity there weren't some tries... we won on penalties and defence instead of some fine running and scoring. But that's the way 1995 was won. It's just so hard to get through when the two best teams in the world are playing it off!

    Well - I'm celebrating today!!!

    BOKKE!!!
