Was out plinking today with my 8 year old daughter today?

Bought her a Henry Youth model single shot for her birthday last year. Bought the steel plated cuz paper bored her. Lol I was shootin the 38 today and she wanted to try. Was very proud of her.

You have every reason to be proud of her.  Congratulate her for me.  Keep encouraging her and taking her to the range with you.  The day is not far off when other guys will be taking your place on her calendar.  I envy you.  My daughter is grown and has a family of her own now and we don't get to go to the range together any more.  I miss those days.  Take lots of pictures for the memories.

I started each of my kids at just about age 8 as well. It's funny, but my daughter could also outshoot my boys!!

Yes it is......  Now pick up a Ruger 10/22.... Have her shoot at a steel plate at 30 50 and 75 yards.... My neighbors 9 year old can do that open sights... They topped it off with a scope and she hits the plates at 100 yards... Paper targets is boring for kids.... When they hit the plate they get excited because they can hear it go pling thru there earplugs......... Make it fun for her and she will have a life long interest in firearms....
