I have not looked up much on Sarah Palin, but the first thing I thought about was McCain's last desperate attempt. Do you think that this COULD be a last desperate attempt to sway Hillary's supporters to support the McCain/Palin ticket?

  1. No joke,a brilliant political move for the Republicans.

  2. Yes! Exactly. He is trying to sway the women on the fence and I feel this is deceptive and manipulating. This is so desperate that he needs to play Desperado next week at the Republican Convention. So sad I have now officially lost all respect for this man.

    EIGHT IS ENOUGH!

  3. no - believe it or not republicans really are not racist and sexists.  Take the time to look her up.  You will start to steam when you find out she is actually a very decent and qualified person.

  4. I believe it was a genuine pic.  I believe there was more of an effort to find a minority figure but things like this are done in corporate America all the time.  I did not know much about Palin until the other day when I first heard her name being floated.  I have been readin everything I can find on her and so far I REALLY like what I have read.  Honestly - I like her more than I do McCain.  She is more conservative than McCain and from what I can tell she has tremendous integrity.  She has even filed a lawsuit against the Feds to reverse their Anware decision.  She has gone up against established and crooked people within her own party without backing down - and won.  I think it was a brilliant move to find such a person and the fact that she is not well known is even better - very little baggage - unlike what Romney would have brought to the ticket.

  5. How can a woman VP be a joke if Hillary for pres wasn't a joke? Are you saying its ok to have a woman for president but not for VP? That makes no sense.

  6. You actually forget about the fact that she's a governor that has executive experience which your Messiah lacks.

  7. McCain is definitely playing politics with his veep pick. He's pandering to women voters. Sarah Palin's experience: 2 year governor of a state that ranks #48 in population, B.A. from the University of Idaho. Obama's experience : 8 years as senator for one of the largest state's, law degree from Harvard, B.A in International Relations from Columbia, taught Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago. the two do not even compare

  8. "No"---Toni------why do you think a woman president or vice president is a joke? I bet many of you feel we should be kept at home---barefoot and pregnant as well. This is a great day for women-----and a great day for America!

  9. not a joke

Obama and McCain are tied in the polls.

    and

about 21% of Hillary voters are already voting for McCain, with another 27% still undecided.

choosing Plain was the smart move.

    ---------------------

don't forget Obama picked an old white guy for his V.P.

Biden is an old school Washington insider.

  10. nope

a junior senator with 143 days in office is a real joke

    hugs!

  11. It was an irresponsible choice. A man with her credentials would NEVER have been chosen. Ever.

18 months of "executive" experience? In a state with a population and budget smaller than most major cities??? WTF?

FYI: Obama has 12 years in the Illinois Senate and U.S. Senate, not to mention his work as a hands-on community organizer and as a full-time attorney fighting for voting rights, employment and housing cases.

  12. Are Hillary voters just vote anyone as long as she is a woman?

then they will go that way! If they are voting on the issues and party line then it will have no effect what so ever!

It's more likely that McCain losses core conservative males to Obama!

  13. No, it's just a joke he didn't pick Condi.

But she's a kicked his btt, but good!

    lol

  14. The joke is on the Dems who were afraid to have a woman as VP.

  15. The candidate of change just got trumped.

  16. READ before posting in the future.

She has EXTREMELY HIGH approval ratings.

    She has executive experience.

She has views on energy that are in line with most Americans.

She is LOVED by most conservatives.

    AWESOME pick!

  17. I think McCain just needed to sway Hilary supporters to be quite honest..

  18. Worked on me, and all the Hillary supporters I keep in contact with as a member of PUMA!!!!

  19. If you havn't looked up anything on her, why make an bad assumption? Look at her past and her accomplishments and then ask teh question.

  20. yep. A joke that just gave Obama the extra boost to win! McCain had to have been desperate.
