  1. sigh....... six missions, not just the one in '69..... 12 men have walked ON the moon.... been there, did that.... didn't find much the first time... costed a LOT of money, don't have it now..... people don't care anyway.... and YouTube is not the place to learn anything about science....

  2. WHAT!?  We've been to the MOON?

  3. we haven't been back because the space shuttle isn't capable of landing, only docking. but once the constellation program begins (after the shuttle retires in 2010) then we will be going back to the moon and mars

  4. Yes they did land on the moon, only people who

    - hate the government

    - know less science than a Highschool student

    - want to make money with their books and videos

    - simply are trolling

    claim otherwise.

    NASA has i.e.

    - eyewitnesses

    - a whole load of documentation (including the tracking data from foreign countries)

    - thousands of pictures

    - hours of film

    - the laser reflectors

    - >300kg of moonrocks

    - a congratulation from the russians

Most of the landingdeniers counterclaims don't even need an expert to be shown wrong, they are just stupid. .

i.e. Hoaxers claim that the flag was waving in some wind

Now everyone who bothers to do some research (instead of relying on the fraudulent Snippets the Hoaxers show) will find out, that the flag was held up by a wire, and appeared only to be waving while (and shortly after) being handled by one of the astronauts.

You also have to ask yourself if it is really believeable that NASA would miss a waving flag if they wanted to fake it?

Now certain  answerers may claim otherwise but if you read their stuff, and all the answers in the questions there he participated you will notice that all his "evidence" has been debunked numerous times.

Do they acknowledge it? Are they even try to explain why the explantions given are incorrect? No, they just repeats the same bunch of lies over and over again. That should give you an idea about their  honesty...

  5. We did land on the moon multiple times. Haven't been back lately because there hasn't been a reason to devote that many resources to it. There are plans to do so again in the near future as a stepping stone / practice for a future expedition to Mars.

  6. No, no hoax.

Lack of public interest. NASA wanted to focus on other things.

  7. you can certainly find out whose here, with the hoax word!

as far as why they haven't been back, i heard, keep in mind i have heard alot i don't believe, that they had trouble with the equipment and were having to go back toward the original plans.

  8. We HAVE been back.  There have been a total of 6 landings with 12 Americans who have walked on the moon.

Where are you getting such POOR information?

    http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/nasa/nasa.ht...

  9. Chris, get this straight and don't be foolish about it any more, okay?  The basic technology required for a manned flight to the moon was developed in Germany in the late 1930s through the mid 1940s.  This technology needed a lot of refinement to make a safe manned flight a reality.

We worked on that technology through the 1950s and 60s, and made the first manned moon flight in 1969.  It all fits together, and if you read all the history and don't let the wackos lie to you, it will be impossible for you to continue to be fooled into believing that the moon missions did not take place.

The American people were much better educated and more intelligent in the 1960s and 70s than they are now, and it would never have occurred to NASA engineers and managers that 35 years later a bunch of ignorant dolts with nothing to do would come up with a stupid conspiracy theory stating that the moon landings were faked.

If that had occurred to them, I suspect the engineers would have gone to the trouble to create a larger and more visible object of proof, to compensate for the decline in the quality of the American mind and its education that occurred during and after the Reagan presidency.

But there is a real physical proof available.  The astronauts who landed on the moon left behind reflectors that are used every day by astronomers to measure the irregularities of the moon's orbit.  This is done by bouncing laser beams off reflectors at known locations that were left by the astronauts.  Ask your science teacher for information about these experiments.  You can arrange to see this done with your own eyes.

Let me put the question to you this way:  If you think the moon landings were faked, when did they become "fake?"  When did the idea become popular that NASA had invented the idea of an imaginary moon mission and created a huge technological empire to fool people?  When was all this fakery done?  In the 60s? 70s? 80s?

And why?  What was the point?  And how did they fool all the people that reported the news, operated the machinery, built the moon rockets, and watched them take off and land?

Do you realize that one American in 500 was a part of the Apollo program?  Millions of them are still alive.  Are they fooling you?  Why?  If you go out to a football game, look around you.  In the stadium there are people who worked on the Apollo program.

Ask around.  You are surrounded by people who know for sure that American astronauts stood on the moon more than 35 years ago.

  10. We have been back. A total of six such manned moon landings were carried out between 1969 and 1972.

  11. This is so silly! I just went through the answers acknowledging the T-R-U-T-H that the US landed multiple manned missions on the moon. Some yo-yo came along and gave thumbs down on each of them. Well, here's another one for ya, dweeb.

    P.S.

Anyone who thinks the manned lunar landings were all hoaxes be sure and email me. I've got some prime property in the Mojave desert I'd let you have cheap, plus a bridge in Brooklyn that I just put on the market.

  12. I really feel sorry for people that rely on YouTube for their information.  Anyone can post anything they want on YouTube and there is no requirement that it be accurate or logical or correct.

The 1969 moon landing was not a hoax - I saw it, millions of others saw it.  People that are too young to have been there just don't understand.  Maybe its just jealousy - it was a defining moment in human history that will never be repeated, and maybe the younger folks feel that they missed out on something special.  So they say it was a hoax or whatever to try to discredit it.

But whatever is on StupeTube, regardless of what young people want to believe, it happened and you missed it.

  13. I was eight years old at the time the country was so proud and my dad bought a new color TV so we could  see it in color (grey rocks and ash colored dirt) The only color we saw was the red and blue on the flag.  It was not fake...NASA was not that smart or devious.  Its a miracle no one was killed because of the rudimentary equipment they used.  They went to the moon several times and now Bush thinks we should live there lol....I remember like it was yesterday.  I even had a model of the lunar space lander it was a big deal back in the day.

  14. Contrary to what you said, we have been to the moon a number of times after 1969.

I doubt if it was a hoax. There is too much evidence backing the moon landing than going against it.

We haven't been back after those few times because there's nothing more to discover about the Moon. The Moon is a big dead rock, and we've learned what we can learn about it. It's too expensive to go back to a place where we have already been to. NASA will be investing its money on other unknown, more exciting ventures.

  15. since when is youtube a reliable source for anything?

it happened. deal with it. your question is neither clever nor smart. it is just sad, and betrays total cluelessness. there were 6 landings, as an example of just how clueless you appear to be.

half a million ppl worked their butts off to make it happen. if you are going to insult their brilliant achievement, you need something a h**l of a lot better than some crackpot video.

  16. Jet fuel is over 4 dollars a gallon, NASA has to make budget cuts as well. To more directly answer your question no it was not a hoax I was on the set as well and if I remember correctly there is a moon launch planned in the next few years, there has to be a set mission there is only so much you can do on a rock with a manned flight.

  17. *penalty flag*

Please go stand in the corner will all the other people who display a complete lack of critical thinking skills.

We went to the moon...deal with it.

We haven't been back because there is no political will to do so.  We beat the Soviets and that's all that *really* mattered at the time.

  18. It wasn't a hoax. We have been back since. Six more missions flew after Apollo 11, five of which landed successfully. We stopped going because NASA had its budget cut and was directed to spend what money it did get on other things. Once the Russians had been beatne there the US taxpayers, who provide the funds for NASA, didn't see any reason for their tax dollars to be spent on going back to the Moon.

  19. The Apollo 11 crew deployed a reflector array in the Sea of Tranquility, which is still being used today to reflect laser beams sent from Earth.  By beaming laser pulses at the reflector, scientists are able to measure the time taken for the round trip and therefore determine the distance between the two bodies to an accuracy of about 3 cm.  Other reflectors were added later by Apollo 14 and Apollo 15 missions.

It is a testable and undeniable fact that these reflectors exist on the lunar surface, however, if further proof is needed, a satellite is currently under construction in preparation for the next manned missions to the Moon.  When launched, this will orbit the Moon and map the entire surface to an accuracy of a couple of metres which will actually be able to show the many items left behind by the Apollo missions.  I’m sure even this won’t stop the conspiracy theorists, but it should satisfy any sane person.
