2005 Coca-Cola 600 or the 2008 Allstate 400 at the Brickyard

I think this weekend took the cake for weirdest. Although the 2005 Coca-Cola 600 was also weird, it comes in 2nd in my book.

I think they should have only ran the first half of the race with competition yellows.  After that everyone knew what they were dealing with and they should have just ran it green with all the teams having to pit on the green.  That woulda made for an interesting race at least.

Yeah it was weird. I can't really call that a race that was more like practice sessions. Imagine how the sponsors feel having to shuffle out all that money and half the people finding something else to watch half way through.

Should be re-named as the BlownTire Brickyard 400..was the worst race I have ever seen....and I have been to and watched many over the past 30 plus years..

The Brickyard will never forget this blemish, forever scarred by the Goodyear Tire Test 400!

Gotta say this one...it was like watching a series of heat races...or one frickin' long All-star race!

No this is the second biggest race in the entire year. Behind Daytona. The Coke 600 no one was prepared and never saw the flaw coming. With Indy they did testing and had notice of the tire problem and they didn't do jack. 1/3 of the race was under caution with the longest green flag run was 12 laps. Thats not a race! I think it was the worst race I have ever watched. If there is a severe race issue delay the race for a few days get the bugs fixed then put on a race.
