Question:

Was the Hurricane an excuse- so that Cheney and Bush don't embarrass the Convention?

"Bush has had a visible role in responding to disasters in person, especially after Katrina, but heading to the site even before the storm hits is highly unusual."

"The president had planned to give the showpiece speech of the night on Monday, the start of the Republican celebration. Vice President d**k Cheney, who also planned to speak at the Republican convention on Monday, was not going, either."

Bush and Cheney are BOTH too busy to attend?

  1. Yeah, they called on God to give them this hurricane just to save them from being embarrassed. GET REAL!!!!

  2. Come on now.

  3. Well, there IS something called WEATHER CONTROL and the Republicans used it for the Afghanistan war when it began.

    Why not now?

  4. They are wanting to do right by the storm coming this time.

Glad they will not be there.   Shows McCain is NOT attached to Bush like the media and Obama team claim.

  5. That's what I was thinking.

  6. Works for me.

  7. Could be. There could also be a few more embarassments to come:

  8. Since I live on the Gulf Coast I take offense to this Question...

  9. it's bs. I bet McStupid and bush are responsible for the hurricane!

    VOTE OBAMA 08!!!!!!

  10. An inconvenient truth.

  11. If you were the president and vice president and you were carousing in a convention instead of DOING THE JOB THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE- which is to oversee problems that will come from a natural disaster, what kind of president are you?

I think their decision is morally and intellectually sound.

Their role at the convention can be postponed for another day.

  12. Bush learned his lesson with Katrina..now he will handle Gustav correctly...

  13. Yep they whipped up a hurricane and they have another one coming just to make sure.  They're going to start one on October 29th too.

  14. And if they both went then you would fault them for that you idiot.

  15. no they are not too busy to attend..we have a possible national disaster on our hands...you blamed him for katrina...yet the dumbbutts that were down there did nothing to leave the state..i guess once bitten twice shy cause they sure are clogging the roads this time arent they..because they know now..the rest of the country wont feel sorry for them and you cant blame bush..the mayor of that town held alot of that responsiblity in his hands last time and layed it off on every one that was white..at least this time he stepped up to the plate...leave our president alone in the next few days at least he is where he should be while obama calls in from some other state telling them to leave..mccain takes a trip down there..i guess that is the difference in the two men..one is a take action kind of guy..the other is peeing in his pants

  16. Oh, well excuse your president and vice president for going to help his country first, before he worries about his political party.

GET OVER IT! GEORGE W "DUBYA" BUSH IS DOING THE RIGHT THING!!!

  17. i recall when Katrina hit Bush was celebrating Mccains birthday
