I think he's probably just not very sophisticated, with his unkempt hair and unbuttoned suit coat.

Far WORSE was U.S. President George W. Bush at the Opening Ceremonies, where he exhibited a very transparent disdain for having to be there. Slumped in his chair, and obviously bored to tears, Bush once again embarrassed our country and demonstrated to the world what a spioiled, abominable little rich kid he really is; I was ashamed for our nation (as I've been every day of the Bush Presidency).

No one said our politicians have to be smart or sophisticated. They just have to be rich or well-connected to be elected.

China's leader, on the other hand, was honorable, graceful, and a fine representative of his country.    -RKO-   08/24/08

He reminded me of that character "Pig Pen" on the Peanuts comic strip.  The man looked like he had just come out of a 3 day trip to a wild west saloon!  It was quite comical in contrast to the discipline and pefection of the events prior to him showing up.

The red bus and street performers were really showing the best of what London has still to offer! (At least those street kids didn't knife anyone)

God save the Queen indeed.....
