Question:

Was the Queen annoyed at the American photographer?

Annie Leibovitz asked the Queen to remove her "crown”, (crass ignorance to call a tiara a “crown”). I am no fanatical monarchist but Liebovitz was not in my opinion a suitable photographer for the Queen

  1. I think that you are referring to an incident that has been revealed as a hoax or at least a very bad set or send up.  Read the London Times today and you will get the details, by the way the cartoon on page 17 is a very good send up of the whole incident.

  2. because she called a tiara a crown?

    grow up.

people use different words and the queen should respect that and get over it.

And if you're referring to the ad on television then that has been shown to be edited in the wrong way.

I dont like the queen, dont see much point in her to be honest but if she, and others, get offended at different languages used - when she knew perfectly well what a ''crown'' was - then I have to say that this country is more stuck up than i thought.

  3. Who cares.

  4. so what? she called a tiara a crown, same thing! and who cares!

by the way, while you may think annie is not "suitable", shes the best d*mn photographer there is, so get over it

  5. The look said it all. Of course Our beloved Queen is far too experienced and professional, as one would expect from an august Head of State, to go "off the rails". However, She must have been seething at the crass stupidity of the  ex -colonial . Lets hope that they don't ever make the same mistake of hiring someone who is not familar with , or who is disrespectful to the institution of the British monarchy.

  6. Yes, she was.  I think that she had every right to be annoyed and it's best to just move on.  You can bet the Her Majesty has.

  7. yes

  8. The Queen just doesn't come across near as worried about her dignity as some of you do.

And what is the big issue with a tiara being called a crown? We don't happen to have need of those in our country, so we aren't concerned with the difference in the two. I really doubt that Lillibet got her knickers in a twist over it either.

I'm half English. I have the right to comment.
