Despite the controversy spun by conspiracy theorists, the FBI and NTSB both found no evidence of terrorist activity.  No damage was caused by high explosives.

In their final 2003 report, the NTSB concluded that the most probable cause was a short circuit in the wing tank, causing ignition of the pressurized fuel vapor and subsequent explosion.

There was absolutely no evidence to support that theory.

No!  It was residual fuel in the center fuel tank.we now have to keep 1000 pounds of fuel in the center when doing certain maintenance. the fuel is not what is flammable it is the vapors.
