Was the World any better in kind if not in degree?

There is a feeling in general, that the world is going from bad to worse to worst. Most of the ills present now were there in the past. Only the degree or intensity has increased, I think.

According to me one has to realise this before he starts any reformist movement, in oneself, in the family, in the small groups and in the society at large.

The history of mankind is written in its blood.

Some things change, some things don't.

The world is a lot different today as it was 2000 years ago but the human mind is still pretty much the same apart from the fact we have a lot more information and technology around that influence our ideas and way of thinking.
