As someone who was depressed when manny left the sox. Yes it was a good deal. He didn't wanted to be there anymore. And the player were sick of all the stunts he was pulling. I respect the decision now to trade hime when I found out that Theo had all the vetern player vote whether or not they wanted him to stay. EVERYONE voted for him to go. Will he be miss yes. But need to go!

I think it was a great trade! I really wanted manny to go. Bay is an awesome leftfielder too. He actually hustles down the line!

The Red Sox organization wanted to get rid of Manny and Manny wanted to leave so they got the best deal possible in this trade. Now Manny is in Hollywood and the Red Sox seemed happy with Bay. So far, it's a good deal for both teams, although I think the Dodgers got the better end of it because not only they got a better hitter, they gave up almost nothing for him. Ask that question again at the end of the season though.
