Was the men's high bar final fixed? ?

did anyone see the men's high bar final in the gymnastics last night?

The Amercian chap who's dismount was a triple twisting double back (nailed perfectly i must add) only got a silver!! he performed so much better with a more gripping exciting routine that the chinese did. The american had so many more difficult moves than the boring chinese man, how did he score a gold, was it fixed maybe?

Can i just add that the dismount above has never been done by another male gymnast, in fact the move has only been performed by trampolinist's

It's not stupid enough for some Americans to come here and claim that numerous Olympic events they don't win are rigged against them.  These people take the stupidity one step further believing that they're the only ones who see all of this rigging.  As an intelligent American born citizen, trust me when I say that the loudest American isn't always our spokesperson.

Did you even see how close the score was? (.025 behind gold) Horton wasn't even expected to medal.

I know there's controversy over the scoring methods of the gymnastics portion of the Olympics, but I watched on NBC and they said the judging that night was fair.

As soon as an American gets 2nd or 3rd or looses to a CHINESE athelete they assume or state it was rigged or biased. But if it was another nation that got gold then no one would be starting these threads.  

Why dont people complain about China winning when American gymnast aren't on the podium? Its only when an American is on the podium is then when American's complain, but if their not on the podium then they don't complain.

Exciting doesn't mean gold its level of difficulty and excution you were probably just fascinated by the American's move and forgot to see how they were excuted and positioning.

Don't open up all these thread as soon as America looses to China....No one opens threads when America looses to some other nation

Yeah, the "Red Menace" strikes again.

Honestly just accept that the Chinese guy was a better gymnast. He had a better routine and the rest of the routine is just as important as the landing.

Just look at Beth Tweddle on the asymetric bars. Much more difficult routine (apparantly one of the most difficult ever) and only got fourth because she didn't nail the whole thing perfectly.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The AMERICAN NBC commentators even said that it was FAIR. Are you an expert? do you know anything? The annoying NBC commentators said that the judges got this one right. That the chinese deserved the gold. You are so ignorant.

EDIT: o yea if you look at the difficulties, the chinese had a higher start score (difficulty). It really shows your so stupid.

EDIT: But honey, your not an expert, it is not whatever you think. If you think the america's routine was better, does that make it better? Did you even look at the difficulty scores, or do you not know the new scoring system?

i agree, some things have just not seemed right about the whole thing. i watched both high bar routines and can't understand how the one had a higher starting value.

plus the girl that fell to her knees on landing but still somehow ended up in the medals ahead of those that had stuck theirs.

i think both the men and women gymnasts have gotten a raw deal, and not just americans, if anyone is getting preferential treatment or lost out to someone who is under age and should not even be competing then everyone loses and is cheated.

Maybe.....it seemed like the womens gymnastics was fixed, too. The Chinese have been getting very high scores, many that they did not deserve, while the Americans were receiving much lower scores than they deserved. The people who talked during the events kept talking about how the judges were getting the scores all wrong.

Something seems very fishy.....
