There's a famous Saturday Night Live skit (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6041502225815885220&ei=pdiYSK2sKqa8qgPylayzDA&q=eddie murphy cill my landlord&vt=lf&hl=en)

where Eddie Murphy, portrays a death row inmate named Tyrone Green, and speaks the poem titled CIL My Landlord.

The thing is, I can't figure out if Tyrone Green (or someone similar with a different name) actually existed, or if he's just a character created by Eddie Murphy. Thank you!

  1. Murphy just made him up for that hilarious short film satirizing the idea, then fashionable in some quarters, that 'inmate art' was something worthwhile.  He said 'Tyrone Green' sounded like a good name for a 'brother' who was in prison.
