  1. Shockingly, all the Yanks only gave up Farnsworth. I know. Hard to believe that the Yankees could get a guy who will catch and hit and only give up a piece of junk.

Farnsworth is not good. He had a few good outings. He'll be back to pitching like c**p in time. Can't hold a lead, can't locate. He's really worthless.

This trade just shows how great Brian Cashman really is.

EDIT to RAY B: That was sarcasm, right?

  2. Coming from a Detroiter I'm glad that we got rid of Pudge. We already have a good catcher in Brandon Inge and Pudges hitting hasn't been all that great. Plus, we really needed a reliever.

  3. Tigers are desperate for a closer and Pudge is leaving after this neway if the trade isnt made.

No big advantage for either team.

Neither of these teams will make the playoffs.

  4. Yankee Fever..

Calling Cashman great because of this trade is a stretch...The trade is a no-brainer..Getting a hall of famer who is still playing well for a reliever that was booed last year and is very replaceable...

  5. No.

    The Yankees only gave Farnsworth.

    Jack

  6. The Yanks got rid of deadwood Farnsworth and picked up a PEDs popping catcher who should be the shot in the arm they need with Posada out.

  7. The Yankees needed a catcher, so the trade was really good for them.

  8. 1 4 1

  9. I think the Tigers got ripped off Pudge for Farnsworth no way, way too uneven in my mind. The Yankees have so much money yet they still try to scam people. This is yet again why I hate the Yankees.

  10. UGH!!

  11. I think it was a smart move considering Posada could be gone for the remainder of the season.

He will probably bat 7 or 8 in the lineup and is a steal for the yanks who only had to give up a dumpy middle reliever in Farnsworth

i'm not a yankee fan, but they obviously won this trade

  12. No, just an even trade.I think both teams are getting the kind of player they need for right now.
