  2. It is called BLACKFRIARS because it was build on/near land owned by the Blackfriars Priory of London - which is now located at the City of Canterbury in Kent - Garden of England.

  3. Blackfriar's Bridge opened in 1869. It was never known as St Paul's Bridge, the north bank end of the bridge, as you will notice, is not at St Paul's Cathedral. It is at the Inns of Court.
