Was the sequel to 'Leon' ever made?

I remember hearing a few years ago that they were planning a sequel, with natalie portman, but was it ever made?

No, although I had not heard anything about a sequel.

Not as far as i know. there were rumourss that it was in pre-production, but that was three years ago, and before that they had to delay filming due to Natalie's Star  Wars schedule, but it seems nothing has come of it.

no it wasnt, wouldn't be much of a sequel seeing as Leon blew himself up.  as nice looking as Miss Portman is, she couldnt be a convincing assassin.
