  1. There are two film adaptions of ''Lord of the Flies." The 1963 version by Peter Brook is, in my opinion, the better of the two and is quite effective and affective. Brook did shoot a few scenes that owe something to horror movies but the movie is more like an art film than a thriller. The 1990 version, directed by Henry Hook, stick closer to the details of the novel, but isn't as arresting as the earlier version (the newer version is in color and that may be one of the reasons it doesn't manage to create the same mood as the earlier version).

  2. There is actually 2 one made in the 60s

    & one in the 90s

  3. Yep, I only watched a couple of the first minutes.

  4. Yeah.  It was closely based on the book.  Its actually a pretty decent adaptation.

    Lord of the Flies (1990)

Starring: Balthazar Getty, Chris Furrh, Danuel Pipoly, James Badge Dale, Andrew Taft

  5. There are 2, the one made in 1963 is much closer to the plot of the book

  6. Hi there,

There have been 2 adaptations of The Lord of the Flies I believe. Peter Brook's Lord of the Flies in I think 1963 and Harry Hook's later adaptation in 1990. I prefer the 1963, based more thoroughly on the book, but the 1990 one is for a more modern audience, such as kids. It is a very strong interesting drama that definetly makes you question man kind!
