Was there a new update for the PS3 this weekend?

I have been away from my PS3 since tuesday of last week and was wondering if there was a new update for anything. I will be back tomorrow but was wondering if I should be looking into the updates. Thank you very much for taking you time to answer. If you could please give some details as to what the update is for and what it does.

no firmware updates. i know SCIV got patched though.

Last update I remember was 2.42 which was on July 31st I think

I haven't seen any, but I haven't played in 12 hours, but still unlikely.
