  1. I haven't been able to get through  to the records office in Ireland, it's just giving out the engaged tone all the time. So I have found the official site for the census in Ireland, there is a contact us option (email address).

  2. There was a 1936 census. Since 1926 there has been a census taken every five years except for 1931 and 1941.
