Was there any sexism towards men in the past?

Did men in any ways have the short end of the stick historically? I guess they did have to go to war, but really in those days, life sucked for everyone. I guess for men it sucked a bit less.

  1. Were there women in the past?

Of course there was sexism toward men in the past.  Sexism is not specific to one gender, and it is nothing new.

  2. I doubt it.

  3. I think that men in the past were in charge and that meant that they both got more rewards for success in life and also if they weren't successful they got more pain. When you say sexism I always think about being treated badly for being male or female - so no men didn't experience sexism in the past since they got to decide how things went and it was in their favor.

  4. Of course.

Men had their predetermined gender role just as women did.

Did men have the option NOT to go to war? Did men have the option to stay at home and look after children?

Somehow, feminists have turned this against men, but the reality is that neither men nor women had much of a choice in this.

  5. Darren G has summed it up. Feminists don't like to own up that life is hard for everyone no matter what. They prefer to blame their problems on men rather than admit that they just don't fit in.

  6. Most people don't realize that historically, men have been confined to the role of the expendable s*x just as women were confined to their role. You could argue that either role was less desirable but regardless, this system is unnecessary in the modern world.

The expendable s*x is sacrificed for the good of the group, which includes the weaker s*x. Men died and destroyed their health working to provide for and protect the group while women carried out domestic roles.

Life wasn't very pleasant for anybody.
