Was there in the 1st century a town called nazareth in israel?

I would like to know if people from israel.. know if there was a town called nazareth.. where a man jesus should lived there.. according to the NT.. I know jews dont believe in jesus.. but this town is in israel nowadays and it's a modern city no?

  1. there was a city named Nazereth! and it still xistes. although its in "Israel" 60% are Arab Christians & Muslims.

    Today Bet Lehem is controled by the arabs (palastines).

    Natsret is in Israel, and it is controled by the israel goverment,

    but most of the population there are israeli arabs.

    There arre many holy christian sites there,

  4. There is archaelogical evidence that Nazareth did exist along with the evidence from the Bible.

  5. Must have been it's throughout Jews as literature.  Nothing good ever came from Nazereth, or so the Jews said about Christ.

  6. Yes there was and is such a town.  This is why, in Hebrew, Xians are called Nazarenes, because Jeezus was from Nazereth.

  7. It's not too modern today.  It wasn't much of a town in the first centruy.  Agriculture was the main industry in those days.

  8. Sure. Nazareth and Bethlehem are still there.  

    I believe Nazareth is Arab controlled but you could go there.

  9. I know there is a place there today - I've been there.  I assume it is the same place mentioned in the Christian Bible.
