It felt like 10 min of commercials then 5 min racing over and over. they missed like 3 pit stops. And i think they spent 5 min showing Larry Mac doing some stupid magic trick, Hey TNT theres a race going on.

Is it just me?

  1. well, it's like that with every sport that You watch, these days but, no sponsors and, We would have to watch on pay per view. until PBS starts carrying NASCAR, I guess, I'll stick it out.

  2. The commercials were ridiculously long. I was getting really annoyed when they would say "be back in 120 seconds," etc. The problem is it seemed like they were saying "be back in 120 seconds," every other minute! It was practically half commercial half race. Not to mention those pop up advertisements for the sponsers that kept popping up in the middle of the race & cutting off half the screen!

Seriously TNT can I just watch the race please??!

  3. oh god here comes the Draft Lock with Crusty Wallace an the bugged eye tim brewer looks like he just took  a big sniff of crack when u see him

  4. Well I've said this many times, according to Race & Commercial Statistics the average amount of commercials in a given race excluding the Coke Zero 400 is about 50-60 minutes. (the CZ 400 was 17). Sometimes FOX actually went to 74 minutes & sometimes it was 45.

But on average TNT & FOX have about the same amount of collective commercial time.

Maybe its just a matter of how often & when TNT's commercials air. I don't know.

  5. No it isn't just you.  It's usually one big commercial paused for a two minute race break...then back to the commercials.

  6. no it wasnt and i think that trick sucked and that is true we did miss a lot of pit stops and it was just sucky let's see if espn can do better

  7. I couldn't agree with you more ! That was the worst coverage that I have ever seen ! And that ignorant magic act ! I guess Nascar is selling more commercial time to try to get more people to buy trackpass,I actually saw more of the race on it !

  8. no cable so i just listened to it on the radio they call a better race

  9. i told yall it was gonna suck ,back when yall was bitchin about fox!

espn aint gonna be no better !

im not so sure about ABC?

  10. it seems NASCAR is cursed when it comes to broadcasting its events..last night was just ridiculous, if it wasn't about pettys tie it was a constant reminder by weber that KB leads and "we'll be back in 120 seconds"...but overall the commentators were just acting like a bunch of kids in the booth

  11. I agree, statistically though, they have the same amount of commericals ,TNT just has no idea how to spred them out to have them interrupt the race the least. Then when the race is on, they're showing dumb stuff like the magic trick and Kyle Petty's tie.

    PRETTY RIDICULOUS

  13. i'm throwing a party right now coz that was their last race. they are terrible. i have so much respect for larry mac. he knows everything, and for the sake of "adding excitement" to the race they had that man doing magic tricks. and they missed a restart. are you kidding me.
